About Dave Dorson
Welcome and Good Morning
Having gained a BSC (Hons) in Business Information Technology, I am keen to seek new challenges and develop new skills to benefit not only myself, but also those around me.
For the past year, I have worked for a small company based just outside Oakham in Rutland who specialise in Search Engine Optimisation and effective marketing using the Internet. I feel my time working here has taught me new and valuable skills, not only about Search Engine Optimisation and Internet Marketing, but also about the way the I.T Industry operates.
I have used my skills gained in education to manage projects and ensure work is carried out in an effective and efficient way that is of benefit to both my employer and the client, using my graphic design skills to author adverts for print and brochures and utilising my web development skills to ensure web pages are clear, concise and easy to navigate.
I have also developed multimedia skills, working with Shockwave Flash to create small embedded animations within web pages.
Although happy at my current place of employment, I do wish to seek out new challenges and develop new skills.
I enjoy all aspects of web design and have some experience of E-Commerce software, I also enjoy graphic design and the development of easy to manage web sites which are simple to update and edit when required.
I enjoy problem solving and trouble shooting; I have experience of working with Computer Hardware and solving software problems and feel I would enjoy working in an environment where I could use these skills to benefit others.
